「萬事如意 」時

對不少人來說，生活看起來是一片光明：工作稱心如意、住房無須整修、銀行帳戶有結餘、家人身康體健、朋友忠誠友愛。

不過，美好時光也可能隱含著危機。當我們如此醉心世上的快樂舒適時，我們可能會忘了上帝。富足安逸容易讓人志得意滿。

上帝知道，以色列民進入迦南應許之地後也會遇到這種情況，就警告他們不可忘記祝福的源頭（申命記6章12節）。他教導他們要：

 敬畏耶和華（13節）

 事奉他（13節）

 不可隨從別神（14節）

 不可試探耶和華（16節）

 謹守誡命（17節）

 行正直、善良的事（18節）

歷史學家告訴我們，信仰熱忱在太平盛世時通常都會消退。不過，我們若能從以色列人的經歷中學習功課，留心遵行上帝的教導，我們就不會重蹈覆轍。

It is often true that Prosperity may be a greater test of character than poverty (富足比貧窮更能考驗人格). When one is prosperous and well-provided materially, one can become complacent in serving God. When the Israelites entered the Promised Land, God had instructed them to keep following and serving Him. A good advice/command for us is to "Fear the LORD your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name" (Detu.6.13). Let's serve Him and pursue His way and be able to resist the temptations of worldly success. Blessings.
