Sunset Boulevard 日落大道

韋伯的音樂劇「日落大道」(Sunset Boulevard )，是講述諾瑪‧黛絲蒙(Norma Desmond)的故事，她是無聲電影的明星，有聲電影流行後，她就被觀眾淡忘了。她雖年華老去，但仍渴望舊日的光彩。在她的觀念中，單單臉部表情就足以拍出優秀的電影，不需要對話。在「只要一眼」這首歌中，諾瑪唱道：

只要一眼，我就能使你心碎；

只要一眼，我就能演任何角色；

只要一眼，我就能點燃火燄；

我要回到自己光輝的歲月。

由於諾瑪活在過去，她的生命也以悲劇收場。

有人說，每個人的一生就像一本書，一個階段譜寫一個篇章。如果你覺得自己最成功的歲月已經逝去，當記得你正在譜寫新的篇章。要學會心滿意足 的度過每一天。摩西離世之前，上帝讓他看了一眼應許之地。顯然，摩西已經完成他今生的使命，但是他並沒有渴望再現「光輝歲月」(glory days)時的神蹟奇事。相反，摩西滿 足於現在順服上帝。晚年時，他悉心教導約書亞作他的接班人（申命記31章1-8節）。

There is a say that "Whoever lives in the past, dies in the present." It underscores the importance of realizing that the present time is the most important of all, and not to long for past glory, or future uncertainty. Another say is: "Living in the past paralyzes the present and bankrupts the future." God bless.
